Well it has been over 14 years since we went on holiday as a family, but this year as we have had some special birthdays within the family we have decided to take a break and go on a holiday together. As this is a family run business I'm afraid it means shutting up shop for a couple of weeks. What can I say but 'Wow'! Yet again our favourite mineralologist has returned with a new bag of goodies for us. They are as usual fabulous and unusual, take a look at our Eclipse Stone Pendant a new and rare stone and quite fabulous. Just to let you know that the new summer season is well on its way for 2012. We are at Knebworth this weekend and back at the Meadows Shopping Center in Chelmsford for two weeks from 30th April.

We know that Amber is the fossilised resin of ancient pine trees from the pinaceae family which are now largely extinct.
As the pine resin oozed out of the trees it covered anything in its path, such as flies, spiders and many insects. In fact more than 1000 extinct species have been identified in amber. The process of hardening took many millions of years.
